britney yan (sijia) is an artist of sorts based on the west coast of “british columbia”. exploring themes of life and loss, light and shadow (in the broadest sense), her work seeks to reconnect viewers back to their unconscious, childlike selves. 

now, in first person -- 

after years of searching for some sort of constant, either in my art style or subjects of focus, i came to a realization that change is truly the only constant (corny i know!) my goal from now on is to breath life into everything i do and do the the things that breath life into me! yeah, i know it’s easier said than done, but i’m willing to try!
